Background

East Asia and North America (mainly the United States) are the world’s two largest cryptocurrency trading markets, with trading volume accounting for about half of the global crypto market. Compared with many exchanges in East Asia, US exchanges are subject to stricter supervision.In order to help investors get a more comprehensive understanding of U.S. cryptocurrency exchanges, the survey team decided to go to the U.S. for field visits.

For this visit, the survey team went to San Francisco, USA to investigate the cryptocurrency exchange Kraken. The survey address was 237 Kearry Street, #102, San Francisco, CA, US.

The investigators came to an office building at 237 Kearry Street, San Francisco, California, USA. The investigators found that it was a post office, but did not find the logo or name of  Kraken.

In order to further confirm whether the cryptocurrency exchange Kraken was operating here, the investigators found the mailbox of the building, without showing the exchange's logo or other information.

Conclusion

The investigators went to San Francisco, USA to visit the cryptocurrency exchange Kraken. The publicly displayed address was a post office, but they did not find the exchange’s office space, which means that the cryptocurrency exchange Kraken may not have a real business venue.
