East Asia and North America (mainly the United States) are the world’s two largest cryptocurrency trading markets, with trading volume accounting for about half of the global crypto market. Compared with many Exchanges in East Asia, US Exchanges are subject to stricter supervision and it has the world's largest cryptocurrency Exchange, Coinbase. To help investors understand cryptocurrency Exchanges in the US more comprehensively, the survey team will go to the US for an on-site visit.

Survey Process

In this period, the survey team went to Berkeley, the United States to visit the cryptocurrency Exchange FTX. The address is 2000 Center Street, 4th Floor, Berkeley, CALIFORNIA.

According to the above address, the team members came to the destination, a building located in 2000 Center Street in Berkeley, USA. The building is not high and surrounded by prosperous office blocks.

According to the signboard at the entrance, the building may be an affiliate unit of UC BERKELEY University. The logo or name of the cryptocurrency Exchange FTX was not found. On the 4th floor, it’s the office of UC BERKELEY University, rather than the Exchange’s.

Summary

It’s the office place of the affiliate unit of UC BERKELEY University, rather than the Exchange’s in its public business address. That means FTX may not have a real business place.
