Reason for this visit

As the smallest member of the European Union, Malta hopes to make this Mediterranean island country one of the most cryptocurrency-friendly regions in the world through policies and regulations. With Binance and OKEx, two of the world's top five cryptocurrency exchanges choosing Malta as their operation center, other exchanges have followed suit.To help investors know more about the local exchanges, the survey team will go to Malta for on-site visits.

On-site Visit

This time the survey team visited the cryptocurrency exchange GKFX in Ta' Xbiex, Malta, with specific address at FLOOR 5, THE PENTHOUSE, GLOBAL CAPITAL, TESTAFERRATA STREET,TA' XBIEX.

The survey team came to the destination of this survey, Lifestar, an office building in Ta' Xbiex, Malta, which is located just off the road and relatively easy to find.

The team entered the building and found no logo or name of the cryptocurrency exchange GKFX on the directory of building, only the logo of A.K.F.X. The surveyors had not confirmed whether the two companies were related.

The team also found AKFX's logo at the building's mailbox, and it was uncertain whether cryptocurrency exchange GKFX was affiliated with the company.

Conclusion

The survey team went to Ta' Xbiex, Malta to visit the cryptocurrency exchange GKFX, and found no business premise of the exchange. Instead, they found a company named "AKFX". The two names are very similar, but it is not clear whether the two companies are related. Please be prudent if trading with this exchange.
