Reason for this visit

In order to help investors to get a more comprehensive understanding of the country's cryptocurrency brokers (exchanges), the survey team will go to Japan to conduct on-site visits to local brokers (exchanges).

On-site visit

In this issue, the investigation team went to Tokyo, Japan to visit the cryptocurrency exchange Liquid (QUOINE Corporation) as planned according to its registered regulatory address that 4F, Hirose Building, 3-17, Kanda Nishiki-cho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan

The investigation team arrived at the destination on February 27, 2023, where an impressive and time-honored office building was situated near Jimbocho, Tokyo’s Book District.

After entering the building, the investigation team could clearly spot the cryptocurrency exchange Liquid’s company name and logo from the company directory in the lobby. According to the investigation on site, the survey team knew that QUOINE Corporation had been rebranded as FTX Japan Corporation in conformity with its registered regulatory information.

The investigation personnel arrived at the 4th floor and got a clear sight of the logo of FTX Japan Corporation through the glass wall of its office. The company was running business normally, with cryptocurrency documents shown on the door. There was no reception desk and security guard, and people were allowed to enter the office freely.

Conclusion

The survey personnel went to Tokyo, Japan to visit the cryptocurrency exchange Liquid as scheduled, and spotted its physical business office at its registered regulatory address. Meanwhile，investors are advised to make a sensible choice based on a comprehensive consideration.
