The survey team tries to find out more about those exchanges and provide investors with more first-hand information for making a better informed trading decision. 

On-site Visit

The Australian cryptocurrency exchange Independent Reserve is presented on its website https://www.independentreserve.com/ as “Founded in 2013, 7+ years in business, 8000+ trusted by SMSF...”. The company’s office address is: Level 26, 44 Market Street Sydney, 2000 New South Wales, Australia. 

The team followed the office address said above and arrived at an office building at 44 Market Street Sydney. The building is located on a busy street with large flow of people.

The name “Independent Reserve” is not listed on the floor directory of the building. To further confirm whether the exchange runs business in this building, the team went o Level 26, but didn’t find any logo or information of the exchange there.

Conclusion

The survey team didn’t find any office of the Australian cryptocurrency exchange Independent Reserve. According to the information publicly available, the company was established over 7 years ago. Why does a seemingly well-established exchange have no physical office for real? This is indeed very perplexing.
