Reason for this visit

 With the enactment of the Korean Financial Special Act, the cryptocurrency dealers there will be licensed to operate. To help investors get a more comprehensive view of the exchanges in this country, the survey team came to South Korea for on-site visits.

On-site visit

This time the survey team visited the cryptocurrency dealer UPbit in South Korea, with specific address at 5/F, No.14, 4th Street, Teheran Road, Gangnam District, Seoul. 

According to the above address, the survey team came to the destination at 4th Street, Teheran Road, Gangnam District, Seoul. It was located at a quite busy street where there were high-rise buildings surrounded.   

The logo of UPbit, a cryptocurrency dealer, stood out in front of the building.

Entering the building, the team clearly saw the logo of UPbit on the directory of lobby, on which it displayed the name of dealer in Korean.

 Conclusion

The survey team went to South Korea to visit the cryptocurrency dealer UPbit, and found that the exchange truly had a business premise at the official business address shown. However, the team failed to enter the office, so the exact business scale of the dealer was unknown. Please be prudent when trading with this dealer.
