As one of the largest markets around the world, Japan is the first country putting cryptocurrency under regulation, which attracts plenty of cryptocurrency exchanges. In order to help investors to get a more comprehensive understanding of the country's cryptocurrency exchanges, the survey team go to Japan for on-site visits.

On-site visit

In this issue, the investigation team went to Tokyo, Japan to visit the cryptocurrency exchange BTCBOX (licensee: BtcBox Co., Ltd.) as planned according to its registered regulatory address that 5/F, Brick Gate Kayabacho, 2-8-1 Nihonbashi Kayabacho, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.

The investigation team arrived at the destination on February 27, 2023, where Brick Gate Kayabacho was situated near Kayabacho Station in the east of Tokyo Station. With a convenient transportation, there were plenty of high-rise buildings and restaurants nearby. From the company directory of the building, it could be seen that company BTCBOX was located on the 5th floor, which was running business normally during opening hours, with related cryptocurrency documents on the office door. There was no reception desk or security guard so that people were allowed to enter freely.

Conclusion

The survey personnel went to Tokyo, Japan to visit the cryptocurrency exchange BTCBOX as scheduled, and spotted the companys business office at its registered regulatory address. Investors are advised to make a sensible choice based on a comprehensive consideration.
